Kiwi Model UN Students Visit CANZ
Students from the University of Auckland's Model UN team visited CANZ on February 19, 2009. The eight students participated in Harvard National Model United Nations, where they played the role of Lithuania. Following their trip to Cambridge, the students dropped by Washington, DC for a visit. While at CANZ they met with visiting NZ scholars Dr. Danny Keenan and Assoc. Professor David Grinlinton. They were also joined by fellow Kiwi and Auckland Uni student Bryce Wakefield of the Woodrow Wilson Center. Once they had completed their tour of Washington they were off for New York City and then on to San Francisco.
This was the first time a Model UN team from Auckland participated in the Harvard National Model UN. Hopefully, New Zealand will send more students overseas to participate in this exciting program.
